Shipping, Delivery & Staging Policy
This policy details the logistics and site requirements for receiving direct freight and local truck deliveries dispatched from our Ferndale hub. It covers our standard 50-mile Metro Detroit delivery radius, necessary site conditions (such as clear driveway access and dry, heated staging areas), and the receiving sign-off process. This guide helps homeowners and trade pros prepare jobsites for safe unloading and material protection.

1. Standard Delivery Zones
Ridge Cabinetry operates a dedicated delivery fleet dispatching out of our logistics hub at 2300 Gainsboro, Ferndale, MI 48220. Direct jobsite delivery is available across a standard 50-mile radius covering Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties. Deliveries outside this 50-mile zone are subject to custom mileage surcharges.
2. Jobsite Access & Environmental Requirements
To ensure safe unloading and protect your materials, the buyer is responsible for verifying the following prior to truck arrival:
- Clear Vehicle Access: Driveways and entry pathways must be clear of vehicles, construction debris, mud, ice, and snow.
- Climate-Controlled Staging: The indoor staging area (installation room or dry adjacent garage) must be weather-tight, enclosed, fully dry, and heated to a minimum of 65°F during winter months.
- No Active Dust: Staging areas must be free from active drywall sanding, concrete cutting, or wet painting.
3. Delivery Receiving & On-Site Sign-Off
An adult representative (18 years or older) authorized by the customer or contractor must be present during the entire delivery window. The representative must inspect box counts, sign the Bill of Lading delivery receipt, and note any outer carton transit damage immediately.
