Should LVP flooring be installed before or after kitchen cabinets?
Heavy structural cabinets (like heavy island bases or perimeter cabinetry) should be installed directly on the subfloor first. LVP floating floors are then installed around the cabinets up to the legs, allowing the planks room to naturally expand and contract under room temperature shifts.
Can Ridge LVP flooring be installed over existing tile or concrete in a basement?
Yes. Thanks to the rigid SPC core and attached underlayment, Ridge LVP can be installed directly over existing flat tile, concrete, or plywood subfloors, provided the surface is smooth, clean, and level within manufacturer tolerances.
